Canefield Ashes

29th & 30th March 2014

The Canefield Ashes cricket carnival was created in memory of the late Eugene Pagotto who sadly passed away due to cancer in 2004.  Eugene was a young, outgoing, friendly person who was well known in the Burdekin and Home Hill areas and was an avid supporter of the Home Hill Cricket Club.  Teams contesting the “Canefield Ashes” will be playing for the Eugene Pagotto Memorial Shield. In memory of Eugene, 20% of the funds made from the weekend will be donated to the Queensland Cancer Fund.  The success of the Carnival has seen the Home Hill Cricket Club able to make a substantial donation each year.
